The P-51 is one of the best fighter jets of World War II. It is a new fighter jet developed by the North American Company at the request of the Royal Air Force. The prototype successfully flew on October 26, 1940. The improved P-51C was developed in May 1943. Successfully, it was equipped with a British-made Moline engine. In December of the same year, the first batch of P-51 entered the 354th Fighter Group of the U.S. Army Aviation and began its service career. During the war, the aircraft was widely used to perform tasks such as seizing air supremacy and escorting bombers.
