2024 Tamiya Asia Cup Philippine Qualifiers

 

General Regulations

  • All cars and parts must be Tamiya only.
  • Modifications of any parts are not allowed.
  • Each qualifying run will be 5 minutes plus the time to complete the last lap.
  • Drivers are not allowed to go in reverse during the race.
  • Gyro and traction control assist are not allowed.
  • Battery charging must be done in Li-Po Safe bag.
  • Front bumpers must be installed for all cars.
  • Mylaps Transponder will be used for timing system.
    • Organizers are not held liable for any problems that may arise during the race with regards to personal transponders.  PT should be positioned close to the ground.
  • Any other issues not clarified in the regulations shall be handled by the organizer.

 Race Procedures

  • Philippine qualifiers will have 3 rounds of racing (race dates to be announced).
  • Each round will be a two (2) days event.
  • Point system will be used to determine the overall champion in each class.
  • Control Practice of 5 minutes will be used for seeding in the qualifying rounds.
  • Qualifying format.
    • Staggered start style
    • Three (3) qualifying rounds in Junior, SuperStock, M-chassis, GT, and Truck classes.
    • Two (2) qualifying rounds in Rally and Buggy classes.
    • Only the best run will be used to determine the Final line-ups.
  • Finals race format:
    • Starting Grid positions will be used, based on the best qualifying rounds
    • Top 10 Fastest Qualifying round finishers will go to A-main. Next 10 qualifiers will go to B-main, remaining qualifiers will go to C-main.
    • A-Main will have 3 heats in SuperStock, M-chassis, 4WD GT and Truck classes.
      • Total of two (2) best runs in the finals will be computed to determine the winners in SuperStock, M-chassis, 4WD GT and Truck classes.
    • B-Main will have 2 heats in SuperStock, M-chassis, 4WD GT, and Truck classes.
      • Total of both runs will be counted to determine the winner
    • For Junior, Rally and Buggy classes, there will be only two (2) runs in the Final heat. Total of both runs will be counted to determine the winners.
  • Point system will be used according to finishing position (i.e. 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, 3rd = 3 points, and so on)
    • The driver with the lowest accumulated points in his 2 best finishes in the final heat will be crowned champion.
    • In the event of a tied position, the driver with the single best finishing position in either of the best two (2) finals that counted will be awarded the tie, in the event of a continuing tie, then the laps and times from the best finishing position will be compared and the one with the fastest laps and time total will be awarded the tie. If still continuing, then times from the second best position will be compared.
  • Total points earned from the three qualifying rounds will be used to determine the overall champion of the Tamiya Asia Cup Philippine Qualifiers and will have a chance to be part of the Tamiya Asia Cup Regional Finals that will be held in the Philippines in September 2024.
