
TMAC 2026 RACING GUIDELINES
POINT-BASED QUALIFYING SYSTEM
Welcome to Tamiya Mini 4WD Asia Challenge 2026 racing guidelines! This guideline is base the on Tamiya’s official authorized agent from Philippines, The Brickyard, is a Point-based qualifying system. Through this system, racers are group randomly that will be known as RACE, and they have to follow a strict schedule of rounds that will be known as FLIGHT which are pre-generated so that racers can prepare before their FLIGHT and RACE schedule. Participants will race to accumulate a point in each FLIGHT to qualify for the quarter finals!
CHECK-IN & CLAIMING ID PROCEDURE.
All racers must Check-in before entering the event venue. Upon Check-in, please present a valid government issued ID to collect your Race ID then you will be tagged with TMAC exclusive wrist band and proceed to find a table in the event venue.
Strictly 4 racers per table. Excess bags must be placed underneath the table. Only have the most required tools and cars on the table to optimize your space.
JUNE 26, 2026 – PRACTICE DAY.
All racers must Check-in before entering the event venue. Upon Check-in, please present a valid government issued ID to collect your Race ID then you will be tagged with TMAC exclusive wrist band and proceed to find a table in the event venue.
We will start practice session for each class;
From 12:00PM to 3:00PM for Stock Class category.
From 3:30PM to 6:30PM for Open Class category.

JUNE 27-28, 2026 – RACE PROCEDURE.
All racers must Check-in before entering the event venue. Upon Check-in, please present your Racers ID to collect your Boarding Pass Tickets then you will be tagged with TMAC exclusive wrist band and proceed to find a table in the event venue.
Strictly 4 racers per table. Excess bags must be placed underneath the table. Only have the most required tools and cars on the table to optimize your space.
On June 27 2026, Racers will only receive their Boarding Pass Ticket.
On June 28 2026, Racers will only receive their Boarding Pass Ticket.
BOARDING PASS TICKET SAMPLE.
Racers must present their Boarding Pass ticket at all time during “Check-in to Inspection Queue”.

CAR REGISTRATION.
1. Each racer is allowed to register a maximum of two (2) cars.
2. After the racer decide on their two (2) cars, they will go back to the registration desk to claim their car’s control ID stickers.
3. Claiming the control ID stickers starts at 11:00 AM. Secure the control ID stickers by applying it to your two (2) chosen car(s) that will compete in the race. It is required throughout the event and may also be required for all future events. Racers must secure their control ID stickers before 12:00 PM.
Note:
Claiming of Control ID Stickers is at 11:00 AM. Racer(s) must have their stickers applied before 12:00 PM. Control ID is a tamper-proof sticker. Once it is applied to the car, there’s no removing it during event.
Racers will only have one (1) copy of each control ID stickers.
The sticker should not be tampered. Any proof of tampering the sticker may result to disqualification.
RECOMMENDED LOCATION FOR APPLYING THE CONTROL ID STICKER;
a. Tail Section. On the “Wide Rear Brake Stay” specifically.
b. If car has no tail section, the next location allowed is the Nose section of the car(s).
Do not put the control ID sticker on the following:
- Car’s body.
- Body Lanterns
- Inside the chassis.
- Underneath the chassis.
- Side of the chassis

In each round, Racers can only use their own registered cars. A racer cannot use the registered car of another racer as it will result to disqualification of earning points.
!! ONLY 2 CARS PER RACER !!
Each racer must use and register their own car(s). Cars cannot be changed after registration. Changing cars after registration or using another racer’s registered car will result in disqualification. If you wish to test your cars first, you may do so during practice and choose your best car to participate in the race.
ELIMINATION ROUND PROCEDURE.
All racers will be assigned in a RACE in each FLIGHT. Schedule can be seen in the boarding pass ticket. FLIGHT(s) and RACE(s) schedule is pre-generated and posted before the start of the day of event. The event will have 4 FLIGHTS schedules. See below for sample of FLIGHT number and RACE number schedule.



REMINDER!
It is the racer’s responsibility to be aware of the schedules of their respective FLIGHT(s) and RACE(s). Boarding pass ticket will be clearly identified with FLIGHT, RACE, and LANE number. Race groupings will be posted online and around the venue. Racers must also listen to any announcements of the host.
CHECK-IN TO INSPECTION QUEUE
After checking in to inspection queue, racers must present their boarding pass ticket to the event attendant who confirm your FLIGHT schedule before you proceed to the inspection table. There will be no time to fix your car once you are in inspection table and if you leave the line, you might not be able to get in the line on time.
No boarding pass ticket will result in disqualification on your current race schedule.
Reminder: Keep your boarding pass ticket and race ID present at all times.
Make sure that your car is RACE READY.
- Check if car fits in the Dimension Box.
- Check if car’s ground clearance. Above 1mm at least.
- Check if car’s parts’ authentic. No copy parts.

Bring your batteries ready.
RACE SCORING.
Racers will accumulate points based on performance and after every FLIGHT points will be added together.
Cars will be scored based on finishing position.
● 1st Place: 5 POINTS
● 2nd Place: 3 POINTS
● 3rd Place: 2 POINTS
● 4th and 5th Place: 1 POINT
● DID NOT FINISH: 0 POINTS
There will be no re-race in the elimination round.
We are planning for 4 FLIGHT(s) in ELIMINATION. The number of TOP RACERS (usually 75) may also change based on the race. Please always listen to any announcements.
Racers must accumulate at least 4 points in to be considered in top 75 racers for quarterfinals

- for TMAC we expect to run only 4 Flights (Rounds)
AFTER ALL ROUNDS ARE COMPLETED, THE TOP 75** RACERS BY POINTS MOVES ON TO QUARTERFINALS.
If the 76th place onwards has the same score as the 75th place, they will also qualify to Quarterfinals.
a. For example: 75th place score is 5 points then 76th to 80th is also 5 points they will also qualify to Quarterfinals.
Minimum of 4 total points is required to qualify to quarter finals. Racers with 3 points and under will not qualify for the next round even if they are within the cutoff.
QUARTERFINALS
QUARTERFINALS – 75* RACERS (may change depending on number of qualifying racers)
- Randomize Grouping
- 1 RE-RACE: LAST CAR STANDING
During and after the race, if the 1ST finisher is disqualified [1], the 2ND finisher will be declared the winner, provided that the racer also completed the race or is not disqualified during the last car standing. If the 2nd place racer is also disqualified, there will be no winner declared.
SEMI FINALS
- 1 RE-RACE: LAST CAR STANDING
During and after the race, if the 1ST finisher is disqualified [1], the 2ND finisher will be declared the winner, provided that the racer also completed the race or is not disqualified during the last car standing.
FINALS: 5 RACERS (MAXIMUM)
- 1 RE-RACE: LAST CAR STANDING
During and after the race, if the 1st finisher is disqualified [1], the racer will sit on the final finishing position (5th Place) then 2ND finisher will take the 1st Place provided that racer is also not disqualified and succeeding racers finishing position will also move up.
[1] Disqualification result during and after run might be from:
· Oil over leak from car.
· Car body (including driver figure) was removed during run.
NOTE:
1. Rules may be modified if necessary to improve the race experience and to allow for more racing.
