Questions Answers
Regarding carbon plate modification: When modifying the plates, is it necessary for the "lettering" to be visible? We allow this.  Be aware that in the event that the inspectors are unsure if part that had been cut, sanded, anodize, dyed, painted, etc, is an original Tamiya part, the inspector will consider the part as not an original Tamiya part and disqualify the racer.
Regarding chassis bottom surface: Is "sanding" of the chassis bottom surface permitted by regulations? Yes, sanding of the chassis is permissible but the letterings must still be recognizable and readable
Regarding restrictions on usable carbon plates: There are various plates, such as past TMAC limited edition plates and TKC (Korea limited edition) plates. Are there any restrictions on the types of plates that can be used? The various limited edition plates such as those from Tamiya Korea (TKC), Tamiya HK, TMAC, Japan Cup, are allowed.  Tamiya released plates are all accepted.
Regarding battery usage: I understand that the same type of batteries will be sold at the venue. During the race, is it acceptable to use either the "provided batteries" or "batteries purchased at the venue"? Also, is there any problem with using batteries that have simply been opened at the venue? You must use the official battery from Panasonic.  The image is within the regulations document.  The battery is available in retail stores in many countries and you may choose to purchase it outside the event, we recommend purchasing it from the event.  We will provide some free batteries for all racers.  The battery will also be available for purchase in the event.
Is dyeing plastic parts permitted instead of anodizing? We allow this.  Be aware that in the event that if the inspectors are unsure if part that had been cut, sanded, anodize, dyed, painted, etc, is an original Tamiya part, the inspector will consider the part as not an original Tamiya part and disqualify the racer.
Anodizing rollers is not permitted.  Is it permissible to anodize parts such as dampers, mass dampers and spacers? We allow this.  Be aware that in the event that the inspectors are unsure if part that had been cut, sanded, anodize, dyed, painted, etc, is an original Tamiya part, the inspector will consider the part as not an original Tamiya part and disqualify the racer.
